Tasted on August 01st, 2021. Bottle opened at 5.46pm…
Medium lemon colour, there was already quite a lot going on the nose - linseed oil, kernel as toasted almonds, hazelnut, walnut, slightly greasy.
Palate was similar to nose, with more citrusy characteristics. Medium high acidity, no oak.
An hour later…
The wine was finally starting to open up!! Very traditional and delicious Puligny Montrachet with oak spice, baked apple, marzipan, honeycomb, cantaloupe melon, nutty with good mineralaity, extraordinary complexity and long finish.

Medium plus weight on the palate, it is a wine that goes well with slightly acidic goat cheese and white fish. We had wild caught monk fish on the night, and figured it would also go well with scallops, uni and cod fish.
Enjoy!
