Varnier Fannierre Esprit de Claire, Extra Brut

Brief Tasting Notes


The champagne is dry and crisp, full of zest, green apple, lemon, honeysuckle and yeasty biscuit.


Extra brut means 0-6g/L dosage, low residual sugar usually comes with higher acidity, therefore, it pairs very well with cheese, e.g. crottin de chavignol, a soft, nutty goat cheese that is full-flavoured; giant green olives and parma ham.


It is a very good apperitivo at a reasonable price point.
